For Furries

Is this a furry con? Yes and no.

If you’re already connected to the furry community, you know what’s great about the fandom. But not everybody who’s attracted to anthropomorphic art wants to join a “fandom”.

The Otterdam Furry Arts Festival aims to make the arts we love so much more accessible to the public at large – and to help ambitious furries bridge the gap between our fandom and the larger arts community.

Note: Daytime activities will all be family friendly, with some geared specifically toward under-18s. Pup hoods, harnesses, leashes, and tight-fitting costumes aren’t appropriate. We’ll let you know of any issues we see.

Some things of special interest to furries include:

“Being Furry”	Dig deeper into the history, psychology, and social effects of being furry in the world’s first Furry Studies academic conference. (Ticketed event.)
Headless Lounge	A staffed changing and storage area, with overflow storage available to keep the space comfortable.
Fursuit parade	Kicking off the big day (Saturday) with the tried-and-true public-pleaser, with photo-op stops by the “Guard” and “Santa Claus” statues.
Artist’s Alley*	Artists are invited to reserve table space to sell their (furry-related, family-friendly) wares at a market that’s open to all visitors.
Artist Skillshare*	Talks and workshops to help develop your craft and professionalism, and to help you better understand the furry art market
Art Jam	A casual, open area for creating with other (furry) artists.
